What is the value of Sen. Harris' home?

ree

Some Californians might know that Sen. Harris's residence is in the pricey Brentwood area of Los Angeles, not in Sacramento.

The Brentwood home was purchased in 2012 for $2.7 million by then-single-currently-married-to-Harris Doug Emhoff, according to Wall Street Journal. The Journal also shared that the street houses homes with architectural values. The home is near Will Rogers State Historic Park above Pacific Palisades and close to Getty Center. One of the most known So-Cal private school, Brentwood School, is of course there. All these elements help elevate the value of the home, which can be around $5 million now.

Sen. Harris also owns two condominium units in San Francisco and D.C. The D.C. home was purchased for in $1.775 million in 2017, in a building where there's rooftop heated pool and the concierge running errands for residents. Since this is a more recent purchase, the home value haven't changed as dramatically as the home value in Brentwood. But none the less, the value has still increased quite handsomely by roughly 10% or even more.

The San Francisco home is just minutes away from the San Francisco Superior Court House, San Francisco Museum of Modern Arts. The condo unit was purchased in 2004 for $489,000. Even though this might not be an expensive pocket in San Francisco, different from the L.A. and D.C. location, the value of the home grows significantly because of the rise of the San Francisco real estate price.

All in all, Sen. Harris' real estate value can surpass Biden's, because of the locations of these three properties. So yes, location, location, location, when you buy real estate.
