It is safe to say quite a few trends stemmed from COVID-19 will stay. Remote working or working from home (WFH) is definitely one of them. Just this past Sunday, one of my prospective clients who's planning to purchase home in 2021 said he wants to stay working from home and will look for positions that allow WFH in the future. This change in workforce creates a tremendous opportunity for that smaller bedroom in your house. Instead of putting in smaller furniture pieces and getting feedback from potential buyers "my furniture won't fit", why not make this room an office? Plus, staging professional has long been staging bedrooms as offices, because it can help buyers appreciate the space better.

Here are 5 tips to create a functional office space.
Invest in a desk, chairs, and office items that visually tell everyone, this is the office space
Find ways to take the full advantage of natural light, which is a perfect ambient light source. Open the blinders to let the natural light in.
Make the room look well-organized. While in general a clutter-less home sells much better, it is more important to keep clutters out of sight in the office space.
Home office doesn't have to look sterile. Put an area rug under the desk to add warmth and colors.
If there's space in the room, put in a comfortable armchair and create a reading nook
Even you don't plan to sell your home, you can still use these home office staging ideas to organize your office at home. If you do plan to sell, this will help generate more interest when your home showcases what buyers are looking for.
